A couple and their two children got burnt in the fire that broke out in their house in Motihari. Everyone was immediately admitted to Sadar Hospital. The incident took place in Juafar village of Chhodano police station area. The fire started from a cooking gas cylinder. Within no time the fire engulfed the entire house. The husband, wife and two children present in the house got burnt.
Fire brigade controlled the fire with the help of villagers
There was panic in the area after the incident. There was a crowd of people nearby. Here, as soon as the information was received, police and fire brigade teams arrived. Three fire tenders were deployed to control the fire. After about an hour, the fire brigade team brought the fire under control with the help of the villagers. By then all the things kept in the house were burnt to ashes. Chhodano CO said that information about the incident has been received. CI has been sent to investigate. After the investigation report comes, compensation will be given on the basis of the procedure.
Fire started due to gas leaking from cylinder
Girdhari Prasad, 40, the owner of the house, who got burnt in the fire, said that his wife was cooking in the kitchen, his two lakkas, 10-year-old Shivam and 4-year-old Satyam, were with his mother. Meanwhile, a sudden fire broke out due to leaking gas cylinder. Before I could understand anything, the kitchen caught fire from all sides. By the time she ran away from home with herself and the child, her son Satyam got trapped in the house. As soon as Girdhari got wind of this, he immediately entered the house to save him. He saved his son safely but himself got badly burnt. After this the villagers immediately got him admitted to the hospital.
